The carbon-fiber sole contributes to the lighter weight, while a rubber layer beneath the sole makes it resistant to drying out and wear. In addition, the blade is less likely to shift.

Pre-formed ankle areas reduce pressure over the ankle bones. The antibacterial lining contributes to a fresher, more breathable boot. Extra wrap in the ankle area, with zinc hooks in a zigzag pattern, makes it easier to lace the boots over the shaft while reducing the risk of the skate laces being pulled off.

Padding at the entry and over the tongue reduces irritation around the ankles and makes putting the boots on easier.
