📏 Measurement Instructions for Custom Figure Skating Dresses

🔸 Important Tips Before You Start:

  • Use a soft measuring tape
  • Measure on bare skin or in thin underwear
  • Stand upright and breathe normally
  • Have someone help you measure for best results
  • Measure twice to double-check
  • Write down the measurements in centimeters

How to Measure for Your Form:

1. 👗 BUST

What it is: Chest measurement at the fullest part

How to measure:

  • Place the measuring tape around the fullest part of the chest
  • Keep the tape horizontal around the entire body
  • Make sure it’s not too tight or too loose
  • Breathe normally and read the measurement

Tip: The tape should lie flat against the back as well

2. ⏳ WAIST

What it is: The narrowest part of the waist

How to measure:

  • Find the narrowest part of your waist (usually above the navel)
  • Wrap the measuring tape around the waist at this point
  • Exhale slightly and read the measurement
  • Do not pull the tape too tight

Tip: Bend to the side – where it creases is your natural waist

3. 🍑 HIPS

What it is: The widest part of the hips/buttocks

How to measure:

  • Find the widest part of the hips (usually over the buttocks)
  • Stand with feet together
  • Wrap the measuring tape around the widest part
  • Keep the tape horizontal

Tip: Often 18-23 cm below the waist

4. 📐 TORSO

What it is: Upper body length from shoulder to waist

How to measure:

  • Measure from the highest point of the shoulder
  • Down to your natural waistline
  • The tape should follow the body's curves
  • Go over the fullest part of the chest

Tip: This determines how long the top part will be

⚠️ Important to Remember:

  • All measurements must be in CENTIMETERS
  • If you are between sizes, choose the larger measurement
  • If in doubt, measure again or ask us
  • Remember the dress should fit snugly but comfortably for movement
