We have outgrown our premises, and the search for a new store has begun.

It feels almost a little unreal to write this, but Tinas Konståkningsshop has outgrown its premises in Örebro.

What once worked well for our business has become increasingly cramped over the years. The online shop has grown, the product range has expanded, and the number of boxes, skates, Dresses, bags, and accessories has continued to increase. Eventually, you reach a point where it simply isn’t possible to conjure up another metre of shelving.

And that is where we are now.

From online shop to something much bigger

Over the years, Tinas Konståkningsshop has developed significantly. The online shop is still a large and important part of the business, but we also notice how many customers want to visit us to try on skates, get help with sizing and models, and touch and try products before making a decision.

That is why we want to create something more than just a larger warehouse.

The dream is a real figure skating shop with plenty of space for our product range, but also a shop where people can take their time. A place with good facilities for skate fitting, where we can develop our services relating to skates, mounting, and customization.

But first, we need to find the premises.

What are we looking for?

It quickly became clear that our wish list is quite long. 😊

We need a substantial retail space, but since a large part of our sales takes place through the online shop, we also need a large and well-organized warehouse. We need space for packing all the orders, work areas for skates and blades, changing rooms, and a good area for skate fitting.

It should also be easy for customers to get to us - especially everyone arriving by car and perhaps travelling a fair distance to have their skates fitted.

And then, of course, there is that feeling.

We do not just want to find premises that work. We want to find a place where we can immediately picture what Tinas Konståkningsshop could become.

Where will the next Tinas Konståkningsshop be located?

After a great deal of thought, we started looking outside Örebro.

We have customers from many different parts of Sweden and want to get closer to a larger customer base while also gaining better opportunities to continue developing the business.

Eventually, our attention turned to Uppsala.

That is where the search for the perfect premises really began.

We have looked at floor plans, calculated square metres, considered storage, retail space, parking, packing stations, and changing rooms - and visited premises where we tried to imagine what they might look like filled with skates, Dresses, and everything else associated with figure skating.

Some felt wrong almost immediately.

Others made us start wondering…

“What if this is where we are meant to be?”
